A Marvelous Monterey Bay Marathon

PACIFIC GROVE- Before first light on November 12, 2017, the participants of the the Monterey Bay Half Marathon were stretching and getting ready to run a grueling 13.1 miles. Every contestant started the race in downtown Monterey on Del Monte Ave and ended the race near Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey. A total of eight thousand runners were allowed to participate in this amazing event and a over a thousand volunteers helped the race run smoothly. Volunteers had many task to take on during the event. These tasks included playing music, handed out water, and supplied first aid. Many different elements take place to allow this race to go a fluidly as possible. In all, the Monterey Bay Half Marathon was very successful and left many people proud to have taken part in this event.
