First of all, I would like to thank you for choosing “Adrian’s Crazy Costume Emporium” for all of your crazy costume needs! If you’re looking for a cheap and creative halloween costume, there is no better person to ask. I have worn everything from a Princess Ariel costume to an inflatable sumo suit. For me, planning a halloween costume could take days or months at a time. If you are reading this article right now, then it is more than likely that you need a halloween costume within the next 24 hour. And that is where I am able to jump in and help.

In this candy economy, you need a great costume to strike it big on Halloween night. While trying to find a great costume, you should take three things into mind: originality, effort, and cost. If you decide to buy a costume, then you have immediately checked off all three categories. However, if you are “balling on a budget” like I am, then Goodwill and a hot glue gun are your best friends.

If you are unsure what to dress up as, a good rule of thumb is to make it funny! People tend to like costumes much more if it gives them a good laugh. However, If you are totally set on a costume idea, then go for it! The most important thing is if you feel confident in what you are wearing.

When you have figured out the costume idea, then grab a pen and paper and write down all the materials you need for assembling the costume. Remember not to leave anything off, because having to go to ACE Hardware for the fourth times in a row is not the best use of your time. Now that you have it all planned out, go and buy the cheapest variation of each item needed. The less expensive you make it, the more your wallet will thank you.

Once you have wasted about $25 of your parents gas going to 7 different stores, you are ready to glue it all together. Just put your phone down and designate a good three hours to put blood, sweat, and tears into your creation. Fire up all the hot glue guns! Call all your friends! It’s costume making time! The only thing left to do now is to put on any final touches needed and flaunt it off. The best feeling is when you get to brag to all of your friend on how great your costume came out. These easy tips will help you get through this stressful but rewarding Halloween season!
