The Sun and the Moon
December 13, 2016
She is the sun and I the moon, we are the same, but different, or at least so I thought,
We are twins of celestial heavens, equal and incomparable.
It is through her existence mine was brought to light, without her I would be not,
Her radiance burns bright, while mine is buried within. Without her shining bright I’d be unable.
Around her life the world does turn while I turn around the world with its treasure within,
She is the sun and I the moon It is she who they turn to for their life and energy,
Oh to compare us would be a sin,
As it is me who they turn to for hope and tranquility.
To compare us, how unfair that would be,
As she is just one light, and I an even smaller one in a vast star sea.
