There are a huge variety of summer classes, both online and at MPC, you can take to give you a boost in the 2016-2017 school year! Want to skip a grade in Math? Take either the 6 or 8 week summer intensive at MPC and turn the graduation slip into your counselor. Besides mathematics, MPC offers other academic courses from June 15 to July 24, or June 15 to August 7. MPC also has an extensive selection of summer elective classes, including 15 art and photography classes, and many various computer programing, theater, English, food and hospitality, or P.E. courses. If you want to branch out your language studies beyond Spanish and French, sign up for a summer or year round course of various different languages including American Sign Language (ASL). Keep in mind that none of the classes are free (although financial aid may be applicable to you), however, taking a summer course to skip a level, free room in your schedule for a more interesting class, or maybe just to cut out that first or seventh period from your schedule, may prove to be a worthwhile expense!
Hi, Lorenz. Thanks for the information about MPC. I teach English and Journalism at MPC. I would like to invite PGHS students to a roundtable of newspaper editors from noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, in the Almaden Room of the Student Center. Please let me know whom I should contact on this. BTW, I am a Breaker alum. PG will shine tonight.
