Holiday traditions are what make the season special, and our school features a plethora of fun and unique traditions. Senior Maggie Lindenthal-Cox’s family goes to Crest Valley to cut down a Christmas tree. Others are a bit less conventional. “We hide a pickle ornament on our tree and whoever finds it gets an extra present,” explains Lauren Pick, a junior. Some traditions, like junior Olivia Cain’s, are more religious. Between church services, her family hosts a massive potluck. Many, like freshman Caelum Kim-Sanders, who stays with his grandparents in Oregon, or freshman Jake Haney’s family, who put on a Christmas Eve party, spend time with friends and family. Whatever your traditions, from Christmas caroling to competitive dreideling, have a wonderful holiday season from the NewsBreaker staff.
