National Honors Society

Written by Isabel Cushman, Editor

The National Honors Society, or NHS for short, is a nationally recognized organization supports a different charity, chosen by club members, each year. NHS is a fun and inspirational way to boost college applications and learn about international issues. To be invited to join NHS students are required to have a 3.0 GPA or higher and to submit a written application describing why they would like to join the organization. Accepted students participate in an induction ceremony and pledge themselves to a career of upholding the National Honors Society’s three pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. If interested in joining, the application process begins at the end of the school year and is open to all students entering tenth, eleventh or twelfth grade.
